KRIEGHOFF “ULM” O/U Shotgun

The first Krieghoff was build in 1886. In that year Ludwig Krieghoff together with a partner founds the „Sempert & Krieghoff Gewehrfabrik“ (Sempert & Krieghoff rifle factory) in Suhl, Thuringia. They produced guns and rifles for hunters. Ludwig Krieghoff realized the importance of a well fitted gun. He became famous for his slogan “Die Läufe schießen, aber der Schaft trifft” (“You shoot with the barrels you hit with the stock”).

Ludwig’s son Heinrich founded his own company in 1916, named “Heinrich Krieghoff”, also in Suhl. In 1919 both companies were brought together under the direction of Heinrich Krieghoff.

After World War II Krieghoff started again in Ulm, Western Germany with 13 employees.
